The album SQ features 6 string quartets, 1 piano quintet and 2 saxophone quartets (world premiere recordings) by 9 living composers: Nikos Athanassakis, Lars Michael Fetzek, Brian Field, Michael Boyd, Robert Fleisher, Rene Nikolaou, Filip Sande, Yi-De Chen and Louis Sauter. Saxophone Quartet SAXAS was formed in 2011. This is the first professional saxophone quartet in Belarus. The quartet's repertoire includes many styles, genres and trends, from classical to jazz as well as rock and pop music, from Bach and Schubert to Piazzolla, Bernstein and Freddie Mercury.
